Liebster Blog Award

Hi, my Canadian Blogging Friend Cheryl from God and I On the Railroadtracks, gave me this very kind award.  Thanks Cheryl for thinking of me. She is one of the blogs I check everyday because she makes really great cards and I love getting to know her. (I also I love the music she has on her Blog.)

This award however is slightly different from the usual awards you see.  This award is to showcase some of the not-so-well-known blogs.  We have some talented crafters out there and this is one way for you to find new and interesting blogs.  All I have to do is nominate three to five blogs I read and want others to get to know .

If I tag you and you want to participate,  create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image. You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award. You can then choose 3 - 5 favorite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged

Special Note from the Originator:

Dear bloggers:

The aim of this action is that we bring unknown, good blogs to light, so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers.

I chose 4 that I think deserve more followers than they have, because in my opinion they are very talented and make stunning cards...Please pop over and show them some love - honestly I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

In no particular order:

hey! Sweet thing

I'm entering this card in a couple of challenges this week.
Tuesday Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's - What's Love Got To Do With it?
Paper Sundaes Challenge #54 - Valentine's

I'm entering this card in the challenge using Cheryl's Precolored Image, A Big Heart.  Decorative paper is from PaperTrey Ink, cardstock is PaperTrey Ink and Stampin Up.  I added some Bling to the edges of the heart and also a couple to the heart in the image, one can never have to much Bling.  Is there such a thing!   I also used a decorative punch border from MS and embossed the background paper.  I had no idea of how I was going to create this card when I started.  I knew I wanted to use the Big Heart image and that fancy heart die from Nellie's multi frame's and things just started to fall in to place.  I thought the sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps was so cute for this image.

I just received my new Waltzingmouse Stamps in yesterdays mail, just in time for this card.  I have to say that I an not usually a fan of the clear stamps, but I think Claire has this perfected.  These are the nicest clear stamps I have ever used.  They stamp so nice, I just love them.

While I am getting long winded here, I want to thank my fellow crafters and bloggers.  Looking through all your blogs I have found so many new places to buy supplies.  PaperTrey Ink and Waltzingmouse Stamps just for starters, they both have such fine quality products and I am shouting THANK YOU for posting to your blogs what products you use.  Now for the card, I hope you enjoy it!  I enjoy your comments to my blog.

Sweets For My Sweet

I love these 2 Sassy Cheryl precolored images, Have A Heart Girl and Have A Heart Boy.  The sentiments are from Waltzingmouse Stamps and were perfect for these images.  Ya just can't get much cuter than these two.  Doesn't it make you wish someone would bring you a nice big plate full of heart shaped Valentine cookies like that.

Gate Fold Birthday Cards

I've had these 2 cards laying around for a while just waiting to finish them.  I bought some new stamps from Just Right Stampers and they were the perfect stamps for my cards so I finally finished them.  I used Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink from SU.  For some reason in my pictures, the cocoa ribbon appears darker than what it really is.  Enjoy!  Oh and don't forget the bling, I added pearls to the greetings on the front.

Addicted to Flower Tags

First thing I want to mention is that here in our little town, the temperature this morning is 8 below zero.  Now that is just to cold for me, the rest of the day is not suppose to get above 10.  BRRRR!  The hounds were all bundled up in their coats and snoods.  Ribena even wore her Muttluks, I thought with the snow and ice in the backyard it would just be to cold on her little paws.  Sidney however won't have any part of booties.  Thinks he is a tuff guy but really just a big baby.

Now for the fun stuff.  Here's the rest of the flower tags/cards that I made over the weekend, I already posted some of these on Saturday.  Each card measures just about 3.5" x 3.5".  These new dies are very addictive, I just love making flowers.

The first set I used papers from Stampin Up which are probably retired by now.  The flowers and leaves are more dies from Marianne Designs.  I love those lacy leaves.

This set was made with decorative papers from my stash and the cardstock is from PaperTrey Ink.  When I use red for the flowers they remind me of Poppies.

Enjoy, I'll be back soon with more cards or tags.  Keep warm!

Second Post of the Day, Wow!

I'm actually posting to my blog for the second time today.  Here's more of the flower tags/cards I am addicted to making.  I love these new dies and I also found PaperTrey Ink.  I just love their stuff, their papers are great and I love to get things that match and the flower dies also came from PaperTrey.

I have more tags that I will add on tomorrow.  Am I addicted or what, I do get carried away with my crafts.

I'll have to take a picture of all my new dies and paper packs and put them on my blog.  Now for the pictures of the cards.  I just love this polka dot paper.  The green swirls came from Stampin Up.

New Flower Ribbon Dies

As anyone can see, I am not an everyday blogger.  I guess I should put my cards here more often than I do.  I'll try to be better at this.

I've got some new Creatables flower dies from Marianne Design that I just love and just have to show them off.  I didn't do much to the flowers other than cut them out with the dies and add ribbon.  When you cut with these dies, you end up with little slits to put the ribbon through.  There is so much one can probably do with them, but they are still new and just had to make something so I made these little gift cards.  Now wouldn't they look nice tucked in a gift bag or tied to a gift bag, bouquet, or basket.  I have more new dies that I'm going to make gift cards with, when I do I'll show them here.  The cards here, I cut out with the Nestabilities, they are so much fun to cut with.

I love to make the gift cards when I have all the papers that coordinate.  Also, some of the dies are pretty hard to get the paper off.  I used waxpaper between the die and the paper and that made it a lot easier.  Before I bought the waxpaper, I used a cellophane bag and a plastic bag, both of them worked great too.  Where there's a will, there's a way and I'm sure to find it.  Enjoy!  I just love making the flowers.

Valentine mode

I seem to be stuck in my Valentine mode, made these cards to put in my Etsy store.  My Etsy store seems to be doing pretty good considering I just opened it in Sept.  Two of these cards sold a couple of minutes after I added them.  I am so happy to have repeat customers who love my card creations.

I love all the pinks and reds, every day should be Valentine's Day.

All the images are Sassy Cheryl's Precolored Images.  Papers are from Stampin Up, Martha Stewart, and PaperTrey Inks.  They truly are much nicer than the pictures show.  Maybe I should take photography lessons to get better pictures.  Enjoy!

Beary Special Hug

I created this card this morning, I love the reds and pinks together for this Sassy Cheryl's precolored image. Added glittered hearts and ribbon.  Made with supplies from Stampin Up and Martha Stewart. Sassy Cheryl creates such fun images to create cards with.

Now I have to get ready to go to our Stampin Up Workshop today, I wonder what will be in store for us when we get there.  Sally always has so many creative ideas.

Valentine Cards

More Valentine Cards I made today.  You can also find all my cards for sale in my Etsy store.

Be My Valentine

I created this 5" x 5" Valentine card for the challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.  The theme this week is all about the color blue.  My card is not totally blue but it has blue on it, so I think it will qualify for the challenge.  I used Sassy Cheryl's precolored image Delivery With A Kiss for this challenge. (I feel like I cheat using the precolored images, but they are just so adorable and I love the colors).  The inside sentiment is computer generated.

I used SU tag punch, ribbon, and cardstock, the decorative papers are from my stash. Scalloped square is a Nestabilities, ya just gotta love those Nestabilities.  One can never have enough of them.

A Beary Special Valentine!

It's been quite a busy time over the Christmas and New Year's holiday and hopefully now I can get back to making cards.  I've made this Valentine card to enter in Sassy Cheryl's Challenge 43.  The theme for this challenge is "Teddy Bears" and it is her last challenge of 2010.  Nothing like waiting till the last minute to get my entry in.  Taking a break from cardmaking, it is not quite so easy to get back into.

I created this 4.5" x 6" card with MS papers and border punch.  It was such fun making layered flowers with some of my new dies and punches and added ribbon to the card. I used Sassy Cheryl's precolored Beary Valentine image and added SU Crystal Effects to the hearts for a glossy look.  I can't believe that I made a card without glitter, now how did I ever let that happen.  I decorated the inside and added a sentiment for a finished look.

Other challenges I am entering this card in:
